I always did my cycling outdoors until October 2017 when I was hit by an SUV. At that point I bought a Wahoo Kickr to move indoors to ride on Zwift. In a three-story 2,400 square foot townhouse I used to share I couldn’t set my bike up anywhere without the other person I lived with complaining.

After competing in Triathlon for almost six years I have come to realize that there are two distinct types of Triathletes, those who grew up as swimmers and those who did not. It is usually very easy to differentiate between the two groups. One group has a sense of confidence on the start line and in the case of a mass start they can usually be found at the front of the pack, the other lines up towards the back and might be overheard saying something along the lines of, “If I can just make it through the swim I’ll be fine”. As someone who falls into the second group I am here to tell you that this doesn’t have to be the case, you can learn be confident and even love the water.

Well, it's officially Spring! Thank you Mr. Groundhog! A time when we would normally be emerging from our winter hibernation and seeking out groups to work out with and events to attend. This year, things are different but that doesn't mean you shouldn't hold off on your fitness. Now more than ever is a great time to take some time for some self-care and fresh air.

This workout is intended to be conducted on a stationary bike or bike trainer. If you have a smart trainer and want to follow this, turn of "erg mode" to control your bike manually. Don't have a stationary bike but have an outdoor bike? You don't need much to take your training indoors. We recommend the following to get you started:

As the globe comes together by staying apart, it's important that we maintain our health... physically, mentally and emotionally.
