About 7 years ago while hanging out with some friends, one of them suggested we should come do a triathlon with him.  It sounded interesting so of course I said,...

After competing in Triathlon for almost six years I have come to realize that there are two distinct types of Triathletes, those who grew up as swimmers and those who did not. It is usually very easy to differentiate between the two groups. One group has a sense of confidence on the start line and in the case of a mass start they can usually be found at the front of the pack, the other lines up towards the back and might be overheard saying something along the lines of, “If I can just make it through the swim I’ll be fine”. With the unknown component of when racing would resume, my coach (@JPElitetri) kept uploading workouts and I kept on truckin’ through them. The weeks leading up to the race is when things got really tough.
