The Cervélo S5 has long been the benchmark for speed, and its latest evolution raises the bar once again. This is not a redesign for the sake of change—it’s a precise, race-driven upgrade built on the demands of the world’s fastest riders. From Wout van Aert’s domination in green to Simon Yates chasing pink, the S5 has already proven itself at the front of the pro peloton. Now, it’s even faster.

The new S5 delivers a gain of 6.3 watts over its predecessor, thanks largely to major aerodynamic refinements at the front end. The head tube and fork legs have been deepened, increasing surface area while maintaining balance and control. At the center of it all is Cervélo’s reimagined one-piece handlebar and stem system, building on the V-stem concept that made the original S5 so distinctive. It’s not just about clean lines—it’s about slicing through air with precision.

The S5 isn’t just faster. It’s lighter too. Despite the additional surface area on the fork and head tube, Cervélo shaved off 124 grams from the previous generation through refined carbon layup and streamlined hardware. It’s a rare achievement: a bike that adds both speed and agility without compromising weight.

One of the most striking upgrades is the new HB19 cockpit. Cervélo uses a “Plus-Four” concept, where the width at the hoods is four centimeters narrower than at the drops. This setup encourages a more aerodynamic position during extended efforts while still offering the stability needed for sprint finishes and technical descents. Every bar size complies with the latest UCI regulations, ensuring full race legality.

A critical part of the S5’s aerodynamic system is the new Reserve 57|64 wheelset. Co-developed by Cervélo and Reserve, these wheels are engineered specifically for the S5 chassis. The rear wheel’s asymmetric profile mirrors the shape of the seat tube, improving airflow and efficiency across the entire system. Compared to the previous Reserve 52|63 setup, the new wheels are three watts faster without adding weight.

Cervélo didn’t just design a faster bike—they also made sure it fits. With nine different bar and stem combinations available, riders can fine-tune their setup to match their position perfectly. Every S5 comes with the right fit included, and your Cervélo retailer will guide you through the process to ensure optimal performance.

In short, the new Cervélo S5 is everything a race bike should be: faster, lighter, sharper, and more refined. It’s a bike built for the podium, ready to lead from the front.
